Acne Treatment - Learn the Basic Facts About Acne
Acne is a skin disorder one of the most common. The most common form of acne is called acne vulgaris.
Acne is a disease of sebaceous glands and develops in stages. Beginning with blackheads and whiteheads acne may develop into large nodules and cysts. Acne is not only stain the skin, but also affects the psychology of people who suffer from it. That is why it is important to treat it ASAP.
Sebaceous glands located in the skin throughout the body, except for some places like the palms of the hands and feet. The sebum go out of the pores. Our body hair also grows out of these pores. When these pores will be blocked, acne develops in the pores. In the first stage, acne begins as whiteheads and blackheads (caused by clogged pores of the skin). Blackheads are also called open comedones. Whiteheads are also called closed comedones.
The second stage is pimples or Zits. They are also known as papules and pustules. Pimples form when the plugged sebaceous glands may be inflamed. When acne getting more infected and inflamed, the third stage of acne develops. This is called as nodules and cysts.
Not necessary that acne will always grow to the next stage more severe. Maybe stop at the first stage itself.
Where can develop acne?
Acne can develop at any place of the body where sebaceous glands are. Sebaceous glands attached to hair follicles and are located primarily on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders, neck and upper arms. Acne is most common on the face, arms and trunk.
Who gets acne?
Especially adolescents suffering from acne. But the people of all ages can get it. Acne can affect the thirties, forties or above also.
